About Me

My name is Richard Nelson Sierra

I was born in the island of Puerto Rico in the 60’s and arrived in mainland USA in September 1969, the month when Star Trek was canceled.

As a kid I enjoyed watching Irwin Allen Sci Fi shows.  Lost in Space was the first show to expose me to the Sci Fi medium.  Later it was Voyage To the Bottom of the Sea, Land of the Giants and The Time Tunnel.

In later years Star Trek became my only interest since it was the only Sci Fi show shown frequently on my TV station.  Then in 1977 Star Wars exploded the Sci Fi market.

After high school,vI decided to write Sci Fi stories. My first draft was for the Star Trek The Next Generation series, however, I did manage to get some attention in the writing staff at Paramount Studio.  It was a pleasant experience,  then when the internet came into existence, it  made it possible to stretch my ideas in writing fiction as a hobby.  But there was something missing since my original stories were compared to the  Star Trek and Star Wars format.

I started to stay away from writing and went into graphic design, although something was still missing. Then one day I was in U-Tube reliving old sci fi shows when it hit me. I needed to go back to my roots of my interest and there was the Irwin Allen News Network site with all information on all the shows, so I decided to participate with graphic arts.

There I met my good friend Diego who inspired me to continue my work and  introduced me to Carol Foss at Seaview Stories.

Irwin Allen shows may not have the practical sciences as Star Trek or Star Wars, but there is room to make it so.

If you are a fan of these shows, you can make it happen and bring an all new experiences to Irwin Allen universe.
