| Lee takes the stick in the Flying Sub |
Lee calls
the Flying Sub his ‘baby’. He was impressed with his first glimpse of my little pencil drawings and
later even snuck in some time as her test pilot. (I was not amused.)
You know,
Cartwright, I’m bothered by Lee being one of your ‘Agnts on Loan’, especially with a ‘license
to kill’. Putting himself in harm’s way is nothing new to him, but good grief, man, this designation seems
a bit suicidal. In fact, my Chief Medical Officer says Lee's continuted work for your agency is proof positive that
he has a 'James Bond Syndrome'. We're not very happy about it.

I have
to force Lee to wear his whites at the best of times. This was for an official NIMR photo.
You can
see his Flying Sub (with three stars* Kind of a like a Distingquished
Flying Cross, approved by Congress specifically a Flying Sub pilot's self sacrifice or heroism in combat or drastic situations.
He's also wearing both ‘dolphins’ (USN) and Seaview's,
and most of his Naval decorations plus
a few he was awarded as a Reservist. Some he’s not wearing at all. (With Presidential approval -it's a long story)
